Job Description

A client of Insight Global is in search of a Systems Integration Engineer to join their team in Aberdeen, MD on a hybrid schedule. This person will be doing the integration of DAPS (Dismounted Assured Position Systems) into Army vehicles and interfacing with the owner of these vehicles. They will support the systems engineering process including technical reviews and inputs to documents such as requirements, interface control documents, hardware interfaces, software interfaces, engineering plans, training plans, and test plans. Support technical reviews (i.e. Software Specification Review, System Requirements Review, System Functional Review, Preliminary Design Review, Critical Design Review, Production Readiness Review, Functional Configuration Audit, and Physical Configuration Audit); attend weekly and-weekly integrated product teams and working groups; and provide recommendations for engineering, testing, and other improvements to the product office.

* Support the Integration team and collaborate with platform integration subject matter experts as required. The contractor shall support installation efforts of hardware and software in support of experimentation/demonstration efforts related to improved current products or emerging PM PNT solutions.

* Review engineering/installation diagrams and provide technical input to the Integration team. The contractor shall support validation and verification of hardware and software functionality in host platforms and provide product familiarization for platform users and platform integrators.

Skills and Requirements

Active Secret Clearance (can hold up to a TS/SCI CI Poly)

Bachelor's Degree in a related field

8+ years' experience providing systems/hardware engineering support to DoD programs

Previous experience integrating positioning systems into various military vehicles (experience can be from any branch of the military)

Experience with C5ISR equipment or other electronics required, preferably exposure to MAPS, DAPS and/or PNT Systems

Hardware Engineering experience Familiar with the DoD 5000 acquisition process

Experience integrating electronics onto vehicles or other platforms. null
