MDW ASSOCIATES LLC Senior Project Manager in Arlington, Virginia

MDW is currently seeking a Senior Project Manager to support the Office of the Undersecretary of Defense for Research and Engineering in Arlington, VA. The analyst will provide full-time support to the Director of the Technology Industrial Innovation Base (TIIB) as a support contractor for ManTech Program Support Services (MPSS). The successful candidate will capable of providing senior-level project management support for initiatives and projects emerging from the M-EWD Strategic Plan and associated actions.

The Senior Project Manager will perform the following job functions:

  • Support OSD ManTech M-EWD Program Director initiatives and projects emerging from the OSD ManTech M-EWD Strategic Plan along three lines of effort to anticipate Defense Industrial Base (DIB) and Organic Industrial Base (OIB) demand signals for an advanced manufacturing workforce: (1) Building Regional and State Ecosystems for Defense Manufacturing, (2) Upscale MII Solutions Across Networks, and (3) Leverage Interagency Relationships to Support M-EWD Efforts.
  • Provideproject management advice and support to the OSD ManTech M-EWD Program Director.
  • Support M-EWD interactions with senior interagency policy partners and offer insights toinfluence policy dynamics in support of DoD M-EWD objectives.
  • Assistdevelopment, cross-Federal agency coordination, approval, and implementation of national M-EWD initiatives (e.g., National Manufacturing EWD Framework) and events involving the White House, DoD, other federal agencies (e.g., Department of Education), and Manufacturing Innovation Institutes (MIIs).
  • Develop an annual M-EWD Project and Activities Plan (MPAP) to address projects and activities that address the M-EWD strategic imperatives. After Government concurrence, execute plans by engaging key ManTech stakeholders on planobjectivesand workforce development initiatives.
  • Execute a diverse portfolio of ongoing and emerging M-EWD projects to improve manufacturing workforce availability to the DIB and OIB.
  • Coordinate with the OSD ManTech M-EWD team to ensure prompt delivery of impactful work across industry, academia, interagency, and MIIs.
  • Support development of a balanced approach to workforce development activities across K-12 Science Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM), Career Technical Education (CTE), Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA), and Industry training resources.
  • Participate in state and regional manufacturing workforce development initiatives to expand defense manufacturing influence in a regional context.
  • Contribute to M-EWD program management planning, budgeting, and financial execution.
  • Provideproject management in support of the OSD ManTech M-EWD Program Director.
  • Execute a diverse portfolio of ongoing and emerging M-EWD projects to improve manufacturing workforce availability to the DIB and OIB.
  • Supportthedevelopment of a balanced approach to workforce development activities across K-12 STEM, CTE, DEIA, and Industry training resources.
  • Participate in state and regional manufacturing workforce development initiatives to expand defense manufacturing influence in a regional context.

Required Experience:

  • Demonstrated leadership, communication, and organizational management skills;expertisein contract management,budgetingand forecasting for DoD funds; and building cooperative relationships with contracted performers.
  • Expert knowledge of acquisition standards and the PPBE System at the program execution level.
  • Independent, self-starter, capable of interpreting M-EWD PM intent to identify and execute complex tasks in a timely manner in support of broader team objectives.Ability to build collegial relationships with senior leaders and peers.

Desired Experience:

  • Analytical skills; able to deconstruct complex educational and economic development policies into clear and actionable initiatives and strategies.
  • Proven ability to independentlyidentifystrategic areas of opportunity, collect data, assess results, draw valid conclusions, and present alternative solutions.
  • Senior-level experience with economic/workforce development at the national and state levels.
  • OSD or Military Staff and program development experience.
  • DoD PPBE experience is preferred.

Education Requirement/Required Years of Experience:

  • Master's Degree in a business or program management-related field from an accredited college or university with seven years of relevant professional experience.
  • PMI certified PMP is desired

Clearance Requirement(s):

  • Candidates for this position must have an Active US Security Clearance (Secret)
