The Marketing and Communications Specialist will oversee all aspects of Lehigh University Art Galleries' strategy to expand its reach and impact through effective marketing tools including digital/social media and print, and will coordinate LUAG's efforts to garner increased support through grants and membership. This critical role, reporting to the Director, will use data-driven methodologies to drive increased engagement, and will liaise with the LUAG team, University staff, student staff/interns, and external partners.

This position is a Grade: 9-40 with an approximate salary range of $54,390-$66,190 and is subject to change based on experience, skills and qualifications

  1. Develop and oversee communications and marketing strategy for LUAG using data-driven methodologies to ensure impact and inform decision-making

Design and send LUAG e-newsletter/emails to both broad audiences and targeted groups; analyze effectiveness and adjust communications to ensure impact Oversee and implement social media; work with student staff/interns to generate content while maintaining high level of accuracy and attention to detail Generate and send press releases/news articles; occasionally work with external PR firms and partners to promote LUAG Place paid advertising and promotion and use measures to track effectiveness Oversee LUAG website; make edits and updates in conversation with LUAG team and in partnership with CAS web team Oversee print publications, including seasonal brochures/invitations, catalogs, posters, promotional materials, and quarterly and annual reports; work with contracted graphic designers and photographers to ensure quality and timeliness of materials Liaise with University Communications and College of Arts and Sciences to ensure alignment with parent organization and maximize potential reach

  1. Lead LUAG development efforts related to grants and donor stewardship/communications

Working with LUAG staff, the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs (ORSP), Corporate and Foundation Relations (CFR) and Development and Alumni Relations (DAR), generate grant applications and summative reports including narratives and budgets Serve as primary point person for LIRA, including online submissions and tracking Work with ORSP, CFR and DAR to identify potential funding sources and establish an annual calendar of grant applications with key deadlines Assist the Director with generating stewardship letters for gifts to LUAG

  1. Oversee and implement LUAG's Membership Program

Work closely with LUAG staff and external partners to create and implement 5-7 Membership events annually Set and meet annual targets for membership growth (paid and unpaid members); design and implement campaigns in order to increase membership Create marketing materials for Membership and promote the program Maintain database of LUAG members; promote renewals of membership and transition student memberships to alumni memberships Lead stewardship efforts with members

  1. Serve as LUAG Community Ambassador by maintaining key relationships both on campus and in the community, part cularly those that connect with marketing and funding opportunities

Serve on campus and community committees as appropriate to ensure LUAG communications/marketing efforts reach key audiences Represent LUAG at key community events when appropriate and if the Director or other LUAG staff are not available
