IFF PX Innovation & Portfolio global team is looking for a Product Experience Researcher II for the site in Brabrand, Denmark.

As Product Experience Researcher II in this team, you will be responsible to guide and drive sensory and consumer research activities and projects in alignment with business opportunities and corporate strategies. You will partner closely with the creation and design teams with sensory and consumer insights that are directly relevant for the product design and formulation. You will also partner with the regional PX teams, and commercial teams to ensure global relevance and leverage of the insights.

Role definition

• Partner with global cross-functional innovation teams (Reimagine (RI) Clean, RI-Waste, RI-Wellness & RI-Delivery, Remaster Meat) to be the voice of consumer during the entire innovation process

• Understand /define the needs, and support the innovation projects with most relevant overall PX approach

Main Responsibilities

• Define, drive, and implement sensory & consumer research to support Global Innovations programs, always keeping in mind speed, quality, and differentiation as priorities

• Generate sensory and consumer data through:

o Effective use of discriminative and descriptive sensory methods

o Design of quantitative consumer tests

o Execution of qualitative consumer research (from creating moderator guides to moderating, assimilating results, and reporting)

o Other alternative and innovative methods

• Analyze complex consumer and sensory data using statistical models, textual analysis, etc.; translate raw data into insights and actionable recommendations that support the design, development, and formulation of products

Job Requirements

Competencies:

• Work management: project management, organizational skills to manage several workflows efficiently.

• Interpersonal savvy: able to interact seamlessly with stakeholders from different backgrounds and from different functions. IFF is a truly global company which actively supports diversity.

• Communication skills: clear, relevant, and effective communication, demonstrating a thorough understanding of the audience.

Technical skills:

• Solid knowledge and experience with Sensory descriptive and discrimination testing methods as well as Quantitative consumer testing methods.

• Experience in Moderation of human interactions (with sensory panels, technical panels and consumers).

• Strong statistical skills, especially on Dimensionality reduction, Inferential theories (ANOVA, Chi-square, correlation, regression), Clustering, as well as experience in analyzing large data sets.

Requirements:

• Degree in Sensory Science, Psychology, Neuroscience, Food Science or related area

• Fluent in spoken and written English

• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in sensory /consumer research, preferably in the food and beverage industry and ideally in the flavor industry.
