OVERVIEW

The Programme and Project Partners (PPP) model was mobilised in 2019 with the purpose of transforming major project delivery at the Sellafield nuclear site.

The partnership brings together KBR, Jacobs, Morgan Sindall Infrastructure, Altrad Babcock and Sellafield Ltd to deliver a 20-year pipeline of major infrastructure projects to support the decommissioning of Sellafield and to create a clean and safe environment for future generations.

In delivering its pipeline of large-scale infrastructure projects, PPP is creating opportunities for its people, supply chain, economy and communities.

Role Title: Planning Engineer

Role Profile:

The Planning Engineer will provide the planning framework, systems & resources to deliver an effective planning & reporting service to a major project in the nuclear industry. This would be an ideal opportunity for a Planning Engineer with demonstrable experience working within a project environment in a regulated industry.

Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

  • Prepare, monitor and forecast baseline and working schedules during all project phases

  • Establish and maintain a Basis of Schedule for all schedules produced

  • Ensure all applicable schedule activities have Rules of Credit and Quantity Tracking mechanisms established

  • Identify and track all changes or potential changes to the project baseline and subsequent underpinning of change control mechanisms

  • Prepare progress reports, including earned value analysis, identifying critical areas and trends and recommend recovery options

  • Ensure the accuracy of data communicated and reported to all stakeholders

  • Highlight any current and potential issues to the PCM and Project Manager

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Competent user of Primavera P6

  • Experience working on Construction/Civil/Infrastructure projects

  • Earned value management and reporting experience

  • Capable of obtaining (or currently holds) UK Nuclear industry clearance
