We are seeking a Chef Manager to join our dynamic team in Ohio. As the Chef Manager, you will play a crucial role in the success of our culinary and food service operation for an education account. This is a unique opportunity to showcase your skills and lead a team to deliver magnificent service and outstanding nutritious meals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take full culinary management of the food service operation, including inventory, ordering, and receiving.

• Demonstrate knowledge of P&L accountability and previous experience in contract-managed services.

• Apply your expertise in menu development, cost controls, purchasing, and inventory management, with a focus on sourcing and incorporating local food products.

• Show a passion for sustainability and contribute to our dedication to environmentally responsible practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Possess a solid understanding of HACCP and demonstrate a commitment to food safety standards.

• Have at least three years of culinary management experience, preferably in contract foodservice, fine dining, or restaurant settings, with inventory and purchasing knowledge and control.

• Prior experience working in a school culinary environment is highly preferred.

• Extensive knowledge of food and catering trends, emphasizing quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation.

• Experience with exposition cooking is a valuable asset.

• Familiarity with P&L accountability and contract-managed service experience is highly desirable.

• ServSafe certification is a plus.
