Job Description: Position Purpose and Objectives: Assist with review of flexible endoscope repair operations to identify operational and quality improvement initiatives. Lend feedback and assistance to the part procurement activities to include but not limited to, procurement, testing and implementation. Participate in research and development of new endoscopes, new repair capabilities, and other research and development projects when needed. Ensure all activities within the modality are carried out with ISO 13485:2016 compliance maintained. Key Responsibilities: Repair Operations Assist in troubleshooting and resolving equipment failures to identify root cause. Assist in assuring quality procedures and updates to equipment maintenance are being implemented and adhered to. Attend Quality Meetings as needed/required Identify trends in failures, brainstorm with peers on steps to create resolution. Review and provide feedback/approval on all warranty repairs. Identify and establish when process improvements and/or part changes are necessary. Provide knowledge and expertise to identify best practices for repair processes, operational flow, part usage, material usage. Modality Operations Lend support to modality leadership to ensure all locations are compliant with equipment maintenance and calibration requirements. Parts Procurement Support identification and qualifying of new or additional part suppliers quality and cost savings at front of mind. Source applicable parts, carry out testing, report findings to Director of Operations. Training Assist in establishing applicable training programs Provide guidance and oversight to training programs to ensure the program is effective in achieving desired results. Ability to review updated work instructions for accuracy and ease of use. Provides knowledge/expertise to identify and implement best practices. Research and Development Work with modality leadership and team members on projects as assistance is needed. Assist in researching new endoscopes that enter the market as well as the applicable functions and components. Miscellaneous Repair Projects Periodic miscellaneous projects may be requested for the purpose of process improvement, this may include but not limited to researching new tools, new testing devices, new material use, and new operational functions within the flexible modality. Essential Job Functions: Excellent written and oral presentation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and Staff throughout the organization Ability to manage time and multiple priorities Excellent attendance and punctuality Self-motivated and goal oriented Willing to travel as needed, up to 50%-75% Good hand/eye coordination Handling and assembling small parts Work with direct and indirect supervision Walk, bend, stand, and sit for up to 8 hours Lift and carry up to 50 lbs. 20/20 vision or corrected 20/20 vision. Technical Skills: Use of Microscope Micro/Laser Welding Scales/Digital Calipers and other testing equipment Knowledge and understanding of flexible scopes across all types (large and small diameter, fiber optic and video) Knowledge and understanding of ISO 13485:2016 requirements and compliance Familiarity with company service practices and procedures Computer Skills: Ability to navigate multiple software programs as necessary Basic data entry Basic math skills General computer literacy Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Qualifications: * High School diploma or equivalent. Preferred associate's degree in technical services area, or equivalent Military/Industry experience/training. * +7 years of product service experience in Flexible Scope equipment service. Experience with reusable medical devices required. <
