Position: HMC Senior Process and Equipment Engineer

Location: Ladkrabang, Bangkok

Mission & Purpose of the Job

As a member of GLID Asia Coating Technologies team, the main mission is to provide technical support and Anti-reflection (AR) expertise to the EssilorLuxottica plants based in Asia and APAC regions, and to insure roll out of new products and new technologies.

GLID Asia Coating Technologies HMC Senior Process Engineer will be working alongside other members of the team to support the team’s activities. The senior process engineer will evolve in a context of production with often limited time. He/she needs to adapt him(her)self to local production constraints and to ensure that quality and standards are met.

Key Responsibilities

The GLID Asia HMC Senior Process mainly works as a resource or leader in project, RTE ( request to engineering) or SR (study request) to support Essilor base plants and other internal customers with HMC expertise as following aspects,

• Contribute and support standardization activity and new product industrialization

• Provide technical support and guidance (Troubleshooting, Audit, Training)

• Develop new product according to customers' needs

• Contribute and support pilot and rollout of AR digital tools

• Promote standards and support HMC industrial performance improvement

• Work on the GLI internal Study Request (SR) for feasibility test of improving idea or new product

• Capitalize, promote and reinforce best practices and strengthen expertise sharing in technologies, processes, products, equipment and organization

• Contribute and support on EHS group policy deployment

• Support his/her manager on GLI proposition for each team activities

• Support on team growth with coaching on technical side

• Communication with all entities in EssilorLuxottica and partners to ensure the work efficiency

• Maintain strong communicate and good working relationship with internal customers, partners, and suppliers

• Work in accordance with the QMS guideline to ensure all activities are handled with the right procedures

Qualifications

Having strong experience in manufacturing environment with a technical background is key. The Senior Engineer will need to be autonomous, have good communication skill and be able to make informed decisions. He (She) will also need to demonstrate high adaptability to various production environments, be able to build and maintain positive relationship with different interlocutors, and handle a variety of tasks. The successful candidate is expected to possess

• An engineering or physics degree at all levels

• Experience with vacuum coating technologies is considered an advantage

• Strong interest in lens coating technologies

• Strong command of English

• Ability to work in teamwork environment

• Ability to learn fast and have great adaptability to changing and challenging environment

• Ability to multi-task and able to prioritize work well under tight deadlines
