Description:

This is a jack-of-all-trades role that requires anything from systems engineering, to support, to workstation set up, to compliance-related tasks and documentation. Candidates should be comfortable with a fast-paced work environment and frequently-changing priorities based upon customer need. While there will be a ramp-up period during which this resource can acclimate to the environment, they're expected to be self-sufficient quickly.

We are seeking a Systems Administrator to help configure and maintain the back end servers and workstations that serve as the underlying infrastructure for the company's physical security products. The majority of engineering work takes place pre-deployment prior to the systems being deployed in the field. However, this resource will also travel periodically (various locations across the U.S.) to support existing customers who already have G4S products deployed at their plant locations. This person's role will be to coordinate with the system installation teams to make the necessary configurations to the servers prior to their shipment to worksite location.

Project responsibilities include:

-Set up of servers and/or workstations an ensuring proper configurations are implemented and documented clearly and accurately

-Utilize on-prem Microsoft solution to set up and create Group Policies related to server and workstation set up

-Troubleshooting server failures when notified

-Installation of Windows OS on workstations/administration of some Windows servers

-Thorough documentation of server policies and procedures related to maintenance and troubleshooting (sample project would include creation of installation manuals)

-Generation of reports to business stakeholders regarding project results and milestones
