Axiom Bank, N.A. Payments Analyst in Maitland, Florida

**General Responsibilities

The Payments Analyst is responsible for evaluating a merchant's financial risk to the corporation against established risk criteria in an effort to mitigate any losses to the Bank. Additionally, the analyst will independently perform daily actions to control, report and contain risk as well as potential losses.

The Payments Analyst supports the risk team with financial management of reserves, suspension of funds, accounts receivables, and reporting. Additionally, Risk functions include evaluating and mitigating against transactional risk, fraud risk, and reputational risk to the enterprise. The Payments Performance and Risk Analyst will prepare detailed reports and analysis of fraud findings and monitor chargebacks. This position will report directly to the SVP, Payments Partners and Operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor a portfolio of accounts for abnormalities
  • Use various tools to mitigate or reduce our potential for losses
  • Interact with merchants on action plans for reduction of risk
  • Compile sales activity, merchant counts, ISO/merchant portfolio health and other relevant data and provide insights to performance and trends
  • Work with outside agencies, account reps, partners and other resources to understand and validate our portfolio risk
  • Communicate with Banks and other sales sources regarding their specific portfolio
  • Forecast potential loss for each merchant we deem as a risk to theBank
  • Timely and effectively communicate with Bank Management, applicable internal departments and/or vendors regarding the risk function
  • Investigative skip tracing at a business and personal level
  • Route, maintain and track outstanding service requests and provide thorough follow up.
  • Management of account reserves
  • Work with other risk analysts to control and monitor funding when risk is found
