Join AECOM's 2024 Graduate Program!

Are you passionate about environmental and marine engineering? AECOM is seeking a motivated graduate to join our team as a Graduate Engineer - Environmental/Marine within our Environmental discipline. This role is part of our prestigious 2024 Graduate Program, offering the opportunity to work alongside experienced Engineers and Scientists while developing valuable skills in environmental analysis and reporting.

Role Overview

As a Graduate Engineer - Environmental/Marine at AECOM, you will assist the Senior Engineer - Environment/Environmental Scientist and the broader team in producing environmental information and building analytical and reporting skills in the discipline area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Learn about Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESHIA) Studies, calculations, sketches, diagrams, and project models as per specific discipline requirements.

  • Assist in drafting and finalizing environmental reports under the supervision of experienced Engineers/Scientists.

  • Apply design and technical knowledge to ensure high-quality outputs within project timelines.

  • Perform work under supervision to meet agreed-upon budget and schedule.

  • Collect and analyze information from discipline-specific and interdisciplinary project datasets.

  • Utilize computer software to solve fundamental engineering and environmental problems.

  • Coordinate with other discipline Engineers/Scientists to maintain continuity in the environmental study process.

  • Participate in study evaluation progress and coordination meetings.

  • Ensure the quality of models, surveys, and study teams meet accuracy requirements for reporting.

  • Actively seek information, opportunities to participate, and contribute to project efficiencies.

  • Solve problems and apply theoretical knowledge to atypical assignments.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in one of the following fields from an accredited University

  2. Environmental Engineering

  3. Environmental Science/Studies

  4. Marine Engineering

  5. Civil & Environment Engineering

  6. Sustainable Energy and Technology

  7. Geography and Environmental Science

  8. Ecology and Conservation

  9. Architecture and Environmental Design

  10. Sustainable Urban Environments

  11. Candidates must be recent graduates, having graduated within the last 24 months or no later than September 2024, to be eligible for AECOM's Graduate Program.

  12. Successful applicants must have achieved a minimum GPA of 3.3 or 2:1 (or equivalent) and above.

  13. If you hold a Master’s Degree, it should have started within 12 months of completing your Bachelor’s Degree to ensure continuous education and meet program requirements.

  14. Candidates with more than 1 year of postgraduate work experience are not eligible for the program and are encouraged to apply for our professional-level roles instead.

  15. In accordance with Bahrain labour law, only Bahraini Nationals will be considered for this role.
