Citigroup Corporate Banking Sr Associate in New York, New York

Citibank, N.A. seeks a Corporate Banking Senior Associate for its New York, New York location.

Duties: Conduct accounting and financial statement analysis, fundamental credit analysis, cash flow modeling, and risk rating analysis. Serve as a Subject Matter Expert on credit, transactional and franchise risks in coordination with senior coverage officers to facilitate deal execution and risk mitigation processes. Prepare credit approvals, obtain Capital and Risk approvals, and supervise transaction return calculations. Work closely with senior bankers to provide overall relationship management support, including a wide range of treasury and corporate finance solutions: cash management, trade finance, foreign exchange, loans, debt capital markets, share repurchase, and interest rate and commodity derivatives. Assist in the development, structuring, and presentation of ideas and solutions. Assist senior bankers with building the relationship and pitching ideas to clients. Support bankers in cross-selling Citi’s full spectrum of products and services by identifying and responding to customers’ financial, advisory, transactional, and other needs. Assist in the development and presentation of ideas and solutions. Drive marketing and execution in coordination with Bankers, Relationship Analysts and Associates, international offices, and product and investment banking partners. Evaluate public filings, research reports, operations, business plans, and financial forecasts to produce strategic and financial analysis. Stay abreast of market and industry trends, “best practices”, and competitive landscape. Conduct internal business review and assist in internal projects to drive business growth. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.

Requirements: Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Statistics or related field and 2 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience as a Risk Analyst or related position involving transaction and relationship management and risk optimization in the banking industry. 2 years of experience must include: Financial statement analysis; Fundamental credit risk analysis; MS Excel; MS PowerPoint; Data Analysis; Debt instruments and capital markets, derivatives, foreign exchange, rates, and commodities.
