Overview

GovCIO is currently hiring for Active Directory/Identity Services Engineer to enterprise domain and identity services. This position will be located in Stafford/Quantico, VA and will be hybrid position.

Responsibilities

Establishes and maintains smooth operation of computer systems (to include operating systems, software and hardware) in networked or stand-alone configurations, maintains system integrity, and upgrades systems and/or servers as required. May create and document new methods supporting network/system operations and implement changes to procedures. Consults with support teams, help desks, customers and other technical staff in the resolution of problems, coordinates and performs operation and/or maintenance activities for networks/servers, identifies recurring problems and recommends steps to reduce the severity or frequency of problems. May plan for the transition of development and/or production environments to new technologies, utilize system software to monitor the performance of system files, manage system data to maintain performance efficiencies and/or study system requirements to determine proper server installation methods and procedures.

• Manages multiple enterprise Active Directory instances including replication, group policy, authentication, and identity services

• Plays a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining Active Directory infrastructure.

• Monitors Active Directory and Identity Services health and address any performance issues.

• Performs routine maintenance tasks to include updates, backups, and recovery

• Implements identity and access management best practices to include Active Directory Federated Services (ADFS)

• Supports domain and server certificate help with regard to ADFS and SSO implementation

• Lead and design the implementation of Active Directory structures based on organizational requirements

• Helps mentor other team members with overall management of Active Directory tasks

• Supports Active Directory mitigation and remediation efforts alongside cyber security team members

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

• High School with 10+ years (or commensurate experience)

• TS/SCI

• IAT Level II Certification

Required Skills and Experience

• SME level experience with the management and maintenance of multiple, global Active Directory enterprise installations

• Deep understanding of AD authentication protocols including Kerberos, NTLM, and LDAP

• Deep understanding of Active Directory Federate Services

• Experienced proficiency with PowerShell scripting with relation to Active Directory management

• SME level experience with Group Policy management in a DoD environment supporting ATO/A&A efforts

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Functional knowledge of Active Directory backup and recovery actions

• Understanding of current Active Directory security threats and best practice mitigation/remediation actions

• Working knowledge of MS Exchange and Active Directory integration is a huge plus

Posted Pay Range

The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Posted Salary Range

USD $160,000.00 - USD $177,500.00 /Yr.
