Ferguson is currently seeking an individual to fill a FP&A Project Analyst to support the Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis department. In this role, you will be responsible for providing project support for financial forecast systems and reporting.

Daily activities include assisting with project scope, specifications, and requirements, monitoring project progress, ensuring timely delivery, coordination, end user testing, and ensuring achievements are met.

Additionally, this team member will be responsible for progressing critical, departmental initiatives including process design, recommendations, and implementation as well as performing ad-hoc analysis as requested.

Location:

This role is approved to be either Remote within the United States or Hybrid out of Ferguson's Corporate Offices in Newport News, VA in accordance with company policy. 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with all aspects of a project, from start to finish, in a timely manner.

  • Monitor and track progress and performance against timelines and milestones for implementation and completion of projects.

  • Work directly with partners and clients to determine project scope, specifications, and requirements.

  • Conduct/lead project status meetings and produce reporting for all customers.

  • Perform end user testing to ensure system design meets requirements.

  • Assist with preparing and delivering financial information and informative analysis to leaders.

  • Review and understand performance trends to identify areas for improvement.

  • Optimally communicate results of analysis and reporting.

  • Collaborate cross functionally to promote accurate budgeting / forecasting, reporting, and efficient processes.

  • Perform ad-hoc analysis and develop models to guide leadership, Board of Directors, and other internal customers, allowing informed and agile decisions to be made.

  • Provide financial support as needed by other functions such as Accounting, Field Finance, etc.

  • Actively participate in special projects to support corporate and departmental goals, visions, and requests.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration

  • 3-5 years of experience in FP&A ideal.

  • Previous experience in corporate FP&A department for publicly traded company.

  • Possesses a highly analytical and naturally curious mindset with a self-motivated, action driven problem-solving approach.

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft O365, especially Excel.

  • Experience with Microsoft Power BI and financial system planning tools preferred.

  • Demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset and possess assessment and process-oriented background with ability to adapt in a dynamic environment.

  • Effective oral and written communication skills, as well as strong analytical skills.

  • High level of organizational skills and a detail-oriented nature.

  • Ability to work in a team environment and independently as needed.

Pay Range:

$3,899.70 - $7,333.70

Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.

This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
