Our Transportation Department in Singapore is currently hiring a Senior Geotechnical Engineer with the following responsibilities:

  • Working with Team Leader in maintaining high-quality standards of design and supervision.

  • Lead in the preparation of design documents but not limited to detailed design reports, calculations, drawings and construction sequence and prepare submissions to statutory agencies/ local authorities.

  • Participate in tendering and prepare the detailed design reports, assessment reports and all the necessary tunnel drawings to meet the tender specification documents.

  • Lead coordination with other disciplines in preparation of design deliveries and participate in meetings & visit project sites to understand project challenges and constraints.

  • Work with fellow consultants and external parties to facilitate the smooth progress of projects, cooperating with others, whilst establishing and maintaining good working relationships.

  • Being proactive and taking prompt action to accomplish objectives and achieve goals beyond what is required.

  • Continuous learning and improvement, apply new skills, techniques, and methodologies.

  • Involve in the design and documentation delivery processes of the business in Singapore and throughout the Asian Region.

  • Professional representation of the company during business.

Here’s what you’ll need :

To be a successful candidate, you shall possess:

  • Degree in Civil/ Structural or Geotechnical Engineering or similar/equivalent, recognized by the Professional Engineering Board (PEB)

  • Significant years of experience in design of Geotechnical works with at least five (5) relevant years in design for projects for multi-disciplinary underground railway infrastructure including stations and cut and cover tunnels. Experience in bored tunnels and mined tunnels will be an added advantage. Singapore local experience is essential.

  • Must be well versed in geotechnical finite element modelling for ERSS design and DFE design

  • Must be well versed with ERSS temporary works design and the associated impact assessment on adjacent structures

  • Ability to work in multi-disciplined teams in a fast-paced environment and an ability to present technical information, both written and verbally, in a concise and professional manner

  • Familiar with Authorities’ submission requirements for civil/infrastructure engineering projects

  • Conversant with Local and International Design Codes and Standards such as Euro Codes, British and American Codes for Civil Structural design.

  • Follow the policies and procedures of the company’s documented Quality System.
