Jacobs offer a full range of Energy & Power Project services for utility scale power generation projects. Our scope of services is a mix of engineering consultancy including concept design, feasibility and pre-feasibility, design review, site investigations, techno-economic advisory services, and technical due diligence, construction management and owner’s engineering services.

Here’s what you’ll need :

As a Principal Electrical Engineer in Jacobs Renewable Energy team, you'll provide specialised technical consultancy, advisory and engineering services across the Asia Pacific region, developing Jacobs’ capability and reputation across a range of renewable energy projects including Solar, Battery Energy Storage Systems and On and Offshore Wind. Furthermore, this exciting opportunity will include Engineering and Project/Design Management duties.

We are seeking an experienced person with a tertiary electrical engineering qualification along with solid experience in Power Generation projects, especially Renewable projects. You will have experience in project development and delivery, gained from working on large, complex projects. You are or aspire to be recognised in the industry as a business builder in a tier 1 consultancy. In this enticing role, you'll have the opportunity to:

  • Demonstrate your skills to direct projects, people, and engineering consultancy services, including being informed on a diverse range of power related subject matters.

  • Be seen as a trusted adviser, develop new client networks and enhance existing relationships through regular engagement from which to establish repeat business.

  • Adopt innovative and solution focused management to complex problems, ensuring our people are inspired to strive for innovation while maintaining outstanding client experience.

  • Maintain and enhance your technical area of specialisation and leverage this knowledge by improving the work pipeline and capability of team members.

  • Habitually coaching and mentoring less experienced staff to enable them to be better equipped to manage complex engagements.

  • Develop Jacobs' brand through your exemplary standards of professionalism, such as selfless stewardship of business activities performed across the power business, demonstrating an adept understanding of risk and informed solution making.

  • Plan, scope, and deliver coordinated services and align engagement outcomes with a standard that reflects the importance and purpose of the services.

  • Maximise the power of diverse thinking and perspectives by supporting a culture in which differences are shared and celebrated. You will proactively seek to involve people with different experiences and perspectives in pursuits, proposals, and projects.
