Citigroup Senior Process Engineer, VP in Tampa, Florida

The Strategic Initiatives organization’s role is to partner (Key Enabler) with senior leaders across the Services, Markets, Banking and Functions (SMBF) technology organization to ensure proper governance over our top Strategic Initiatives and to drive productivity improvements to deliver on the organizations financial and non-financial goals. This position is part of a global team spread across Europe and North America with a mix of program managers/analysts and senior strategic process engineers.

The Strategic Initiatives Senior Process Engineer will be responsible for leading projects to improve risk and control, client experience, process efficiency and revenue expansion driving measurable results as a part of project delivery. The role requires the person to follow the CitiLean Smart Automation methodology and partner with senior leaders and cross-functional teams throughout the life

cycle of the project.

The perfect fit for this role will be someone with a strong aptitude towards data and financial analytics, a strategic problem-solving mindset, proven exposure to process re-engineering with experience in financial service and/or consulting.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for leading and executing CitiLean and Smart Automation projects within or across businesses

  • Responsible for executing projects from scoping to implementation leveraging continuous improvement/CitiLean tools and analysis to deliver on project outcomes

  • Interface with business, key stakeholders, champions & reengineering leadership. Proactively communicates with senior leadership.

  • Translate management priorities and strategies into potential project targets/goals

  • Form project teams and create documentation to deliver CitiLean and Smart Automation projects.

  • Run project workshops, pilots, and other delivery activities to achieve project targets/goals

  • Work with cross-business teams to ensure communication is effective and achievements are communicated in a streamlined fashion.

  • Influence re-engineering strategy and execution, including continually improving CitiLean and Smart Automation toolsets, etc.

  • Accountable for achieving measurable and sustainable operational efficiency results, and consequently, financial benefits.

  • Perform other duties and functions as assigned.

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

Job Skills/Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 6+ years total work experience (ideally with deep experience in financial services)

  • Minimum 4+ years of re-engineering/consulting experience including use of project management and analytical tools and delivery of training

  • Proven experience of leading projects end-to-end, from scoping to implementation

  • Experience working with emerging technologies would be ideal

  • Strong data analytics capabilities especially cost analysis and internal/external benchmarking

  • Ability to work effectively with senior managers and with large teams across countries, functions and businesses

  • Understanding of the drivers of value including the ability to size and prioritize large scale initiatives across businesses and functions

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to structure logical analysis in presentations

  • Excel and PowerPoint skills are key

  • An understanding of Citi's businesses, the major strategic issues and the senior management landscape would be beneficial but is not required

  • Highly motivated, organized and methodical

  • Logical, analytical and rational thinker

  • Demonstrated team player

Educational Level:

  • Bachelor's degree, MBA (desirable but not required)

  • Process re-engineering / Lean Certification (Desirable)

  • Project Management / PMP Certification (Desirable)

$103,920.00 - $155,880.00
