Location/Division Specific Information

This position is focused on service delivery excellence for UnityTM Lab Services. A division of Thermo Fisher responsible for providing onsite services at customers locations. We provide services at over 400 customer sites globally.

This position is located in Thousand Oaks, CA.

A day in the Life:

  • Collection of used process parts and hoses from drop-off locations in laboratory.

  • Cleaning of used process parts, hoses and tanks as needed.

  • Stocking of clean parts in the laboratory.

  • Operation of parts wash COP bath, CIP skids and pumps.

  • Handling of CIP 100 and CIP 200 solutions.

  • Sample collection to determine equipment conductivity.

  • Follow defined procedures as outlined by SOP’s, work instructions, and standard processes.

Keys to Success:

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Associate Degree in scientific field or 2+ years of relevant lab experience preferred

Experience

  • Experience in laboratory setting or services preferred; experience in GLP/GMP environment preferred

  • Proven excellence in customer service skills

  • Detail oriented, problem solver, promotes team environment

  • Computer/software skills. (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • May be required to work independently at customer location

  • Extensive walking may be required

  • May pass through areas where chemical-based allergens may be in use (such as penicillin, tetracycline, etc)

  • Must be able to lift, push and pull 40 pounds consistently; may be required to lift 50 lbs

  • Must be able to use material handling equipment such as push carts, hand trucks, and pallet jacks

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in California is $19.64–$29.46.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
