Sr Project Engineer II

Location:Beijing

Opportunity

BASIC FUNCTION:

1.Execute VAVE Design Projects following the Exit Gate process.

2.Work with cross functional teams (Internal and External) in product development.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

1.Identify cost reduction opportunities through competitor benchmarking, tear down exercise, Opportunity programs etc.

2.Understand the product functionality and prepare alternate design concept models.

3.Prepare detailed Concept model and drawing using Creo software.

4.Coordinate the development and verification testing of modified designs.

5.Create BOMs, Engineering change requests and release the revised designs in Windchill database and SAP.

6.Work with cross function team and make sure the product changes are in line with the codes and standards and customer value proposition.

7.Document all the activities as per ISO requirements and report to the Stake holders on recommended frequency.

Skills/Requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Typically 6 years of Mechanical Project Engineering work experience. Alternately 15 years of proven ability and experience in a similar field or work environment.

  2. A minimum of 2 years related work experience in execution of cost reduction VA/VE, Continuous Design Improvement projects. Faucet industry experience is preferred.

3.Experience in execution of design Projects.

4.Demonstrated ability to drive solid engineering solutions to complex problems with minimum support.

5.Good knowledge of manufacturing processes such as brass and zinc casting, machining, and plastic injection molding.

6.Must have good communication to work globally with cross function teams. Good English communication skill.

7.Proficient in PTC Creo Software &MS Office tools
