SUMMARY:

The Reporting Coordinator is responsible for accurate and timely collection of data to assist with reporting and ensuring the responsibilities of the office are satisfactorily met.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Works as an efficient and effective contributor to the Institutional Research team, assuring that data-driven decision making and institutional effectiveness are possible across the university.

  • Maintains university reporting timelines to ensure proper execution before due dates.

  • Works with university personnel to gather information and manages the submission of information to federal, state, A&M system, internal and external reports.

  • Verifies reports are complete and accurate, and contacts owners to complete missing or inaccurate items in reports.

  • Assists in the preparation and maintenance of the university web-based reports (Fact Book, Data Viewer, Fast Facts, etc.).

  • Provides support for activities related to office functions (e.g. strategic planning, regional and program accreditation, program reviews, etc.)

  • Responsible for the preparation of data, editing, reporting (submission) and certification for Student, Class and Faculty CBM reports (CBM0C1, CBM0CS, CBM0C8, CBM008) to the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) each semester.

  • Assists with development and testing (WebFOCUS, Oracle, etc.) reporting programs to generate reports and extract data from existing university databases to facilitate data dissemination.

  • Ability to work independently, manage conflicting priorities/deadlines, and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing

  • Participates in committees such as the WebFOCUS Users Group to teach and develop growth among users.

  • Collaborates with Compliance Office to gather information, create reports, and maintain the Higher Education Opportunity Act web page as required by federal law.

  • Maintains confidentiality and projects a professional image at all times.

  • Contributes to the effective team management of all relevant problems, issues and opportunities.

  • This job description shall include, but is not necessarily limited to, the above duties. May temporarily perform other duties assigned to maintain operations and services.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Business, Computer Science or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Experience / Knowledge / Skills: Three (3) years programming experience. Strong project management skills, proficient command of English (written and oral) and interpersonal skills. Advanced MS Office skills. Strong numerical skills, analytical skills and writing ability. Must be highly efficient, able to multi-task, and able to meet deadlines despite interruptions.

  • Ability to: Multi-task and work well as part of a team.
