Job Description:

The Sr. Human Resource Information System Analyst will maintain the integrity and reliability of the organization’s HRIS, ensuring applications meet the needs, requirements, and objectives of the HR department. The Sr. HRIS Analyst oversees implementing (process) improvements, ensuring data quality, and analyzing and reporting on the data in the HRIS.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with HR staff and organizational leadership to determine the short- and long-term information department and system objectives.

  • Responsible for supporting our Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), technology and strategies with strong systems knowledge, departmental partnerships and being an advocate for the end user.

  • Provides functional, configuration and technical support of key HR systems, collaborates in-person and virtually with HR teams, HRIS/IT team, IT, business customers and vendor partners to proactively support, coordinate and execute HR systems

  • Use the Workday Community site to troubleshoot and identify ways to better utilize the system;

  • Develops a plan to modify or replace HRIS applications, modules, and systems to meet business objectives through planning, development, testing, and implementation of HRIS modules.

  • Assesses current system and utilization; identifies and recommends improvements such as training, customization, and enhancements to maximize value and efficiency of the HRIS.

  • Prepares reports and presents findings and recommendations to HR and company leaders.

  • Collaborates with other analysts and HRIS staff to plan, modify, and customize the HRIS and to test new applications and features.

  • Working alongside the IT department to perform regular assessments and improvements to the HRIS.

  • Overseeing all system upgrades and system additions in partnership with the Information Technology (IT) department.

  • Driving regular review and support implementation of HR system upgrades and patches when required

  • Prepares training materials, guides, and documentation and provides user training and hands-on support.

  • Ensures system compliance with data security and privacy requirements.

  • Maintains knowledge of trends and developments in HRIS providers, vendors, and technology.

  • Maintains process and system documentation for assigned applications.

  • Ensures projects are delivered on time and adheres to high quality standards

  • Provides end user support and issue resolution for all assigned applications.

  • Ensures quality by developing test strategies and executing test scripts.

  • Applies analytical skills to troubleshoot issues and/or resolve issues.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in related field or equivalent work experience;

  • Minimum of 7+ years of focused Workday HCM configuration experience within multiple disciplines (HCM, Time and Absence and Compensation preferred);

  • Expertise in Human Resources Processes and HCM Systems (e.g., Workday)

  • Experience designing, testing, deploying, and supporting Time, and Absence functionality in a complex environment;

  • Working knowledge of formal principles and practices in security and compliance as applied to human resources information systems;

  • Familiarity with Workday Security roles, models and domain security impacts;

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with high initiative; self-starter, able to identify, analyze, recommend, implement/execute, and support;

  • Workday HRIS HCM familiarity;

  • Superior problem-solving, troubleshooting and analytical skills;

  • Ability to work collaboratively with other HRIS Sr Analysts, Business Process Owners, HR Operations, and various IT team members to support deadlines;

  • Excellent organizational, collaboration and communication skills and ability to work within a team-centric environment.
