BIO RAD LABORATORIES - 390 Manufacturing Engineer II in Woodinville, Washington

As a Bio-Rad Manufacturing Engineer II, you will support production by resolving complex manufacturing challenges, investigate non-conformances/deviations and work on process improvement projects. You are a Subject Matter Expert in the processes associated with Immunoassays, both ELISA and Bead-based including Raw Material Qualification, Bio-Conjugation and Protein Purification. This knowledge will be applied towards documenting Non-Conformances, Deviation Reports and CAPAs independently to ensure compliance. The Bio-Rad Global Supply Chain team is responsible for promptly and accurately getting Bio-Rad products into the hands of our customers. We maintain product integrity from end to end and respond expeditiously from the moment an order is received. As a result, customers around the globe receive the test kits, instruments, and consumable solutions they need - on time and in full to ultimately provide better healthcare and outcomes for their patients. How You'll Make An Impact: Work in a team environment (QA, QC, Production, Planning, Purchasing, Marketing, R&D, Transfer) to investigation technical issues, implement process improvements and complete validations. Interact with external represantatives on significant technical matters often requiring coordination between organizations/divisions. Develop complex experiments and tests (including writing and executing protocols) to qualify and validate. Analyze and resolve moderately complex manufacturing and compliance issues (e.g., CAPA, non-conformances, audit observations). Employ technical design skills to ensure equipment, tools, fixtures, and processes are characterized and lean. Identify and ensure implementations to optimize/improve manufacturing processes including using engineering methods (e.g., Six Sigma & LEAN methods). Guide the seamless knowledge transfer of project and manufacturing processes. Exercise independent judgement in developing methods, validation techniques and evaluation criteria. What You Bring: Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering required. Master's Degree and/or Doctorate Degree in Engineering is highly desirable. Work Experience: Experience working in a scientific field with minimum of 3-5 years' industry or related industry required. Previous experience working with lab/industrial equipment required Proven expertise in usage of MS Office Suite; Computer Aided Design (CAD) experience preferred. Strong problem-solving, organizational, analytical, and critical thinking skills. This position is eligible for a $3,000 HIRING BONUS: Offered for a limited time only. Applicable to specific positions as labeled. Recipients must be employed at the time of payout. Payout after 90 days of employment with Bio-Rad. Offered to direct hires only.
